APRA has released a draft rewrite of SPS 530 Investment Governance, shifting from principles to more prescriptive rules. Proposals include member-level limits on member direct investment options, tighter onboarding and monitoring, quarterly valuations and an annual executive attestation. Platforms will feel it most, but all RSE licensees are in scope. Here’s our summary of what would change, the points worth raising in a submission and the reporting questions it opens up.

APRA has released its response to the March 2026 consultation on the Retirement Reporting Framework, along with revised draft standards and a final round of consultation closing Friday 9 October 2026.
